The New Currency of the Realm
Attention: everything you want is on the other side of it.
A homeless drummer beating on thrown out garbage pails or a pedantic tween with make up tutorials will garner more of it than the average NPC dude that went to school, got good grades, entered into a well paying job, maybe was in the military, has a couple of degrees and is just trudging through life trying to not get arrested, trapped in a marriage or end up dead in a ditch.
